Shared Brewery to Operate Taproom as Usual from April 17 to 19; Chain Reaction on Tap
Shared Brewery in Hachioji, Tokyo, announced that its taproom will operate as usual from Friday, April 17 through Sunday, April 19. Centered on its West Coast DIPA "Chain Reaction," it looks like a weekend to enjoy draft beers with citrus notes.
Shared Brewery (Naganuma-cho, Hachioji City, Tokyo) announced taproom service from Friday, April 17 through Sunday, April 19. Hours are 5:30 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. on the 17th, and 2:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. on the 18th and 19th. In its post, the brewery highlighted "Chain Reaction West Coast DIPA" and also said that batches featuring domestic lime and yuzu are coming together nicely.
As a taproom attached to the brewery, its appeal lies in being able to focus on the beer itself without pretense. The official menu confirms a lineup such as the following.
- Chain Reaction / West Coast DIPA
- Yuzu POP IPA
- New Notion Potion / Farmhouse Ale
- Summit / Cold IPA
- DDH Hazy Tropics / DDH Hazy IPA
- Shared Pub Ale / Nitro Special Bitter
From the clearly hop-forward West Coast DIPA to the fruit-leaning IPA with yuzu, and on to the silky-feeling Hazy IPA, it is a lineup that makes it easy to line up beers in very different directions. In addition, a four-beer tasting set is available, so you can take your time comparing the differences in flavor. At a brewery in a residential area of Hachioji, this is the kind of operation aimed less at flashy presentation and more at checking the freshness of the draft beer and the character of the recipes.
