In an Instagram post, Bar So-ma Bar So-ma Tobu Nerima announced its 17th anniversary event. The event will be held on Saturday, April 25, 2026. On the day, a tap takeover will be held featuring two breweries: Rio Brewing (Kashiwa, Chiba Prefecture) and Miyata Beer (Oshiage, Tokyo).

According to the post, two brewers from the two breweries will visit the venue, and the event will be structured so guests can compare a total of six beers while hearing directly from the makers. The individual beer lineup has not yet been announced, but the chance to drink while hearing firsthand who brewed what, and with what philosophy is a major attraction for craft beer fans.

On the food side, in addition to cooperation from restaurants in the Tobu Nerima area, ostrich dishes from Ikebukuro's "Bar Cardamom" are also planned. It looks set to be an event where you can not only enjoy each beer's character across the board, but also feel the connections between local businesses.

Bar So-ma is a small beer pub located in the basement of a shopping street, about a 3-minute walk from Tobu Nerima Station. The bar presents itself as a "Petit Beer Bar" and has long focused on craft beers from across Japan, so this anniversary event is an extension of that approach. If you're aiming for a high-density day that is special to an anniversary, it's a good idea to check the upcoming beer lineup and serving details as soon as they're announced.
