A collaboration beer connecting Fukushima food and craft beer

Yellow Beer Works has introduced “SAISON DUZASOU / RICE SAISON,” a collaboration beer available at Tregion Fukushima, a bistro located inside JR-East Hotel Mets Fukushima near Fukushima Station.

The beer is a rice saison brewed with rice and orange peel. It is presented as a beer that can only be enjoyed at Tregion Fukushima. The light, refreshing character associated with a saison is expected to pair well with the citrus aroma of orange peel, while the use of rice adds a local connection and a softer impression to the beer. Its placement on a bistro menu also makes it a natural choice to enjoy alongside a meal.

Tregion Fukushima focuses on dishes made with ingredients from the region. The Instagram post highlights menu items including Fukushima-grown tomatoes, Hayama Kogen pork, traditional Sanzō fermented fried chicken, and seafood doria made with miso from local producer Uchiike Jozo. The collaboration beer offers another way to experience Fukushima through both food and drink.

Yellow Beer Works is based in Osasō, Fukushima City, and is operated by a rice-farming family. The brewery uses some of its own rice and vegetables, as well as fruit from the local area, in its beers. Its stated aim is to deliver beers from Fukushima that make people smile, making this rice-based collaboration a fitting addition to its portfolio.

Tregion Fukushima serves breakfast from 6:30 to 10:00, lunch from 11:30 to 15:30, and dinner from 17:00 to 22:00. Availability should be confirmed with the restaurant before visiting.
