RIOT BEER is a brewpub tucked into a residential part of Setagaya. The taproom regularly pours more than 10 house beers, so the lineup changes with the brew schedule and offers a clear look at what the brewery is making now. On the July 25 tap list, the range ran from lager and gose to saison, IPA, and ESB.

The first beer that stands out is `Riot Lager`. It keeps a firm malt backbone, but the finish is crisp and easy to keep drinking, which makes it a natural first pint for hot weather. `Tomato Gose` is brewed with tomatoes from Hattori Farm in Kitami, Setagaya, and leans into bright acidity and fruit-forward flavor. It should also pair well with light food.

For hop-driven choices, `Salvation` is the flagship IPA. Citrus and berry notes sit on top of a solid malt body and a firm bitterness. `Round Midnights` brings citrus and tropical hop character together with saison yeast spice, finishing dry and clean. `Roxanne`, a British-style ESB, rounds out the list and gives the taproom a broader range for comparison.

RIOT BEER is the kind of place where the beer itself is the main story. In a quiet neighborhood setting, the range from lager to sour and IPA makes the taproom easy to enjoy as a slow, tasting-focused stop rather than a high-volume beer hall. It is a good fit for a summer visit when you want to spend time with the glass, not rush through it.
