Two New Taps

Novel Craft announced two new taps alongside notice of a 17:00 opening. The stars this time are Garage × LHG's `ADRENOCHROME` and Trap Door's `Trap Door IPA`. Both have clearly defined style characters, making it an easy lineup to build a tasting comparison around.

`ADRENOCHROME` is an oatmeal stout made with 50% malt, 50% oats, plus cacao and vanilla. The description calls it "rich, full-bodied, and luxurious," presenting it as a dark beer best enjoyed slowly. It works not only for stout fans, but also as an easy choice for a post-meal drink.

On the other hand, `Trap Door IPA` is a West Coast IPA brewed with Citra, Mosaic, and Simcoe. It is the kind of beer whose hop-driven outline comes through clearly, and the post describes it as simply "still delicious." It is a beer for anyone who wants to enjoy the balance of bitterness and aroma.

Tap Lineup for the Day

The post also introduced Holly Mountain's `Vesper` as a By the glass offering. Although it is a table beer, it is said to have a pleasant acidity and funky esters that give it plenty of presence. The tap list also included `Bellwoods / Grisette`, `Cave D'occi / Sun Dance`, `falo brewing / Tsubame Draft`, `Novel Craft Brewing / Splore`, `Novel Craft Brewing / Sweep`, and `Sapporo / Edelpils`.

Novel Craft is a beer pub in Minami-Karasuyama, Setagaya Ward, Tokyo. Because the house beers and guest beers come together on the same day, it is appealingly easy to choose according to mood, from stout to IPA to lighter table beer. The post also featured food, including "three-herb chicken keema curry," making it a setup you can enjoy as a beer-and-food pairing.

It was a calm, classic beer-pub kind of day, suitable either for dropping in for just one drink after work or for taking your time over multiple glasses.
