Senba Beer Factory (Chuo Ward, Osaka City) reported on Instagram that it has completed its new "Dark Spice Ale Sansho", brewed during a public brewing session.

According to the brewery, this beer changes in impression depending on whether it is freshly brewed or has matured a little. They want people to try a glass while it is still fresh.

The release will be phased in: draft starts on May 27 and bottle sales start on May 29. In addition, the brewery is planning daytime opening on June 21 with "Dark Spice Ale Sansho" as the featured beer.

Senba Beer Factory is a brewery that makes beer against the backdrop of a long history of handling Belgian beer in Senba, Osaka. Its official website declares, "30 years of loving Belgian beer," and the brewery continues to craft beer rooted in the Senba neighborhood. This new release is also drawing attention as a beer born from the history of the shop and the accumulation of brewing experience.

Spice ales using sansho often vary greatly in impression depending on how the aroma opens up and how the finish lingers. It will be interesting to compare how this beer, finished through public brewing, changes character on draft and in bottles.
