Third anniversary in Asamushi

Keika Brewing, located in the hot spring district of Asamushi in Aomori City, will hold its third-anniversary event over two days, June 20 and June 21. The venue is Keika Brewing & Anzu Ryokan, with opening hours from 1:00 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. The program includes two anniversary beer releases, live performances, DJs, and collaboration food.

A line-up with strong local character

The announcement highlights two headliners from the neighborhood: Asamushi Town Association Light Music Club and Asamushi Koto no Kai. With local acts at the center, the event is designed around a special stage and a distinctly Asamushi feel. Special food items will also be available, making it a beer-and-food gathering as well as a music event.

What to drink

Keika Brewing’s core lineup is built around beers that pair naturally with food. On the brewery’s official site, the flagship pale ale Keika is described as bright and drinkable, Zankou is a light golden ale with a low bitterness, and Senrin is a West Coast IPA with a sharper hop profile.

- Keika: a pale ale with grapefruit, lime, and melon aromas
- Zankou: a golden ale with a white-wine-like aroma and gentle bitterness
- Senrin: a West Coast IPA with citrus and pine notes and a firm finish

Set in a calm brewpub space in Asamushi, including a former bank building with a vault-room seating area, Keika Brewing offers a setting that fits the town’s hot spring atmosphere. The anniversary event should give visitors a chance to experience the brewery’s beers, the local music scene, and the neighborhood’s relaxed pace in one place.
