A terrace-only beer garden

Buso Brewery has launched a new terrace-only beer garden course called BUSO Beer Garden. Based in Machida, Tokyo, the brewery is part of a local, community-linked project that started in June 2023 and works with locally rooted food businesses and regional ingredients, including some hops and barley grown in Machida.

The new offering is split into two plans. The BUSO Beer Garden Light Course is aimed at guests who want a lighter outing or a second stop after dinner. It includes two food items - a four-item appetizer platter and fish and chips - plus 60 minutes of all-you-can-drink service, priced at JPY 4,400 including tax. The BUSO Beer Garden Premium Course adds pancetta and maitake mushroom cream pasta to the menu and extends the drink time to 90 minutes, priced at JPY 5,500 including tax.

The drink lineup goes beyond beer. Alongside the brewery’s full beer range, including limited releases, the course also includes dry-hop highball, ripe tomato sour, and house-made craft drinks. That makes the package flexible for groups with different preferences.

Buso Brewery says its broader goal is to strengthen Machida’s food culture and local identity through ties with restaurants and producers in the area. This beer garden fits that approach by creating another way for locals and visitors to enjoy craft beer in a casual setting. Because the terrace seats are popular, the brewery recommends booking in advance.
