Hiroshima Beer Pub Mugi Taps Shiga Kogen Beer’s Swheat & sour
Craft Beer Bar Mugi in Hiroshima has tapped Shiga Kogen Beer’s Swheat & sour as a guest beer. The hazy “S”wheat IPA combines Bramley sour apple, soft wheat character, and hop bitterness.
Craft Beer Bar Mugi, a beer pub in Kamihatchobori, Hiroshima, has announced a new guest beer on tap: Swheat & sour from Shiga Kogen Beer.
Described as a hazy “S”wheat IPA, the beer uses locally grown Bramley sour apples. Its profile brings together the soft texture of wheat, tart and fruity apple notes, and the hop bitterness expected from an IPA. The result is approachable and fruit-forward, while retaining a clear hop character and finish.
The “S” in the name is said to carry several meanings, including SUPER, SPECIAL, SASAKITAI, and SIGA. The beer is also presented as a lighter expression inspired by Shiga Kogen Beer’s well-known Shinshu Jihen.
Mugi’s rotating guest-beer selection makes the pub a natural stop for drinkers who enjoy discovering distinctive beers in Hiroshima. Visitors to the Kamihatchobori area can check the current tap list and experience the balance of Bramley acidity, wheat softness, and IPA bitterness while the beer is available.
