March 26 Post Content

In its March 26 post, TAP&GROWLER Shimokitazawa let visitors know that the crew was 'out and about in Shimokita,' while conveying the easygoing feeling of being able to drop in even on a rainy day. The specific beer introduced in the post was Shizuoka Brewing's BLACK LAGER. Shared as a tasting note for lager lovers, it was presented as a beer worth checking out.

Points to Note Alongside the Shop's Features

TAP&GROWLER Shimokitazawa is a craft beer shop specializing in growler fill-ups, located a 3-minute walk from Shimokitazawa Station. Beer is poured from draft kegs into growlers using a dedicated filling machine for each order, which helps preserve freshness while making it easy to take home. The in-store space also offers kaku-uchi drinking, and in addition to 19 mostly domestic taps, bottles mainly from overseas are rotated daily. Being able to have one drink in the shop and then take another one home afterward is very much part of what makes this place unique.

There is no food service, but bringing your own food is welcome. It suits days when you want to focus on the beer, or when you just want to stop in for a quick drink after work. As in this post, the timing of a lager-style guest beer arriving is hard for beer lovers in Shimokitazawa to miss if they enjoy looking forward to 'what can I drink today?'
