Karuizawa Brewery is based in Saku, Nagano, and brews THE Karuizawa Beer using the famous spring water of Mt. Asama. This new project is being carried out as a collaboration between JR East’s sightseeing train HIGH RAIL 1375 and station-bento maker Marusei.
During the campaign, the train will serve the brewery’s regular beers, Premium Clear and Hoshi no Furu Yoru ni (White Beer), alongside three limited-edition craft beers. Guests can also enjoy beer pairings with a special bento and snacks, and hear brewery staff talk about the brewing stories behind the beers.
The campaign period is July 5, 2026 to September 28, 2026, and it will be available only on operating days of HIGH RAIL 1375. The concept brings together train travel and beer tasting, offering a seasonal onboard experience from summer into early autumn.
