Notice of holiday opening

BEER BAR Bitter in Tsukudo-cho, Shinjuku-ku, Tokyo announced on Instagram that it will open at 2 p.m. on May 4, a national holiday. This long-established beer pub has been beloved for about 20 years, and its appeal is the chance to enjoy craft beers from around the world alongside food.

This day’s taps

The post lists the following five draft beers:

- Vedett Extra White
- Fresh Coast
- Pilsner Urquell
- Hypnotize
- Master Dark

The lineup spans a Belgian white beer, an American IPA, a Czech pilsner, a Tokyo hazy IPA, and a Czech dark-style beer, offering a range of distinct directions. It is a lineup that makes it easy to choose between a light, easy-drinking pint and one with a deeper malt character depending on your mood.

Food too

As the post adds, “We have curry!”, the featured dish is pork curry with celery and mustard. Other items include peach pineapple and prosciutto, fruit tomatoes with sudachi in an ohitashi-style preparation, rape blossoms dressed with walnuts, new ginger with chirimen jako, sakura shrimp simmered in sansho pepper, cottage pie, fritters, and more, creating a lineup of dishes that pair well with beer.

BEER BAR Bitter is a spot suited to people who want to slowly enjoy the character of each label in the calm atmosphere of the Kagurazaka-Iidabashi area. On a holiday afternoon, there is the pleasure of choosing your first drink while looking over the taps.
