British Pub Morris Black Sheep in Daimyo, Fukuoka City, is currently serving “Ichiban Shiroi Neko” from FUKUOKA CRAFT BREWING.

The beer is the fourth release in the “Shiroi Neko” series, a collaboration between FUKUOKA CRAFT BREWING and Fukuoka beer specialists BEERKICHI and Yuyaboys. For this edition, the brewers revisited the malt bill and hopping process to pursue an even whiter appearance and a softer texture.

Wheat and oats form the base, creating a fluffy, smooth mouthfeel with added creaminess. Citra and Nectaron hops are used generously in both the whirlpool and a double dry-hopping process. The result is a distinctly hazy IPA with an expressive hop aroma, fruity notes, and a juicy character.

At 7% ABV, it is slightly lighter than the previous release, making it easier to enjoy over the course of an evening while retaining the full, aromatic profile expected from a modern hazy IPA. The beer is brewed with hard water drawn from a 50-meter underground source in Okagaki, Fukuoka, one of FUKUOKA CRAFT BREWING’s signature ingredients.

Morris Black Sheep is an English-style beer pub in the heart of Daimyo. The spacious venue features large screens for watching live sports, as well as an open terrace. Its draft selection can include up to 15 beers, ranging from Guinness and other pub classics to craft releases. Pairing “Ichiban Shiroi Neko” with fish and chips or another British pub favorite makes for an easy way to enjoy a local collaboration in a lively international setting.

Availability and the tap list may change, so please check with the venue before visiting.
