An Instagram post from AOI BREWING (BEER GARAGE) featured Sankt Gallen’s “Suika Wheat” as a guest beer.

According to Sankt Gallen’s official information, this beer is a soft, easy-drinking wheat ale based on wheat malt. Each batch uses about 220 kg of watermelon puree, creating a brew with the fresh sweetness and refreshing aroma of watermelon. Its alcohol content is 5%. Under Japan’s liquor tax law it is labeled as happoshu, but with a malt ratio of over 50%, it is still very much designed like a craft beer.

The image shows a striking scene with a glass placed among watermelon flesh, visually conveying the beer’s theme. Being able to enjoy a seasonal fruit beer at a brewpub in Miyagasaki-cho, Aoi Ward, Shizuoka City is a welcome point for beer lovers.

AOI BREWING (BEER GARAGE) is a brewpub in central Shizuoka City. By mixing in guest beers alongside its own house-brewed beers, it offers the appeal of tasting both the shop’s character and seasonal offerings from outside breweries at the same time. This time, the lineup includes Sankt Gallen’s summery draft-only beer, making it especially easy to notice for people who like light, refreshing drinks and fruit beers.

“Suika Wheat” is presented as a draft-only product served at directly operated shops and events as well, making it a seasonal beer worth trying when you come across it. Its availability at AOI BREWING (BEER GARAGE) is also something to keep an eye on as a chance to enjoy a limited-release brew.
