Susukino Ale STAND, which curates a lineup centered on craft beer from Hokkaido, has announced the return of NORTH ISLAND BEER's "Bokura to, Neko" as a guest beer. Its style is West Coast IPA, with specs of ABV 6.0% / IBU 57.

In the post, the brewery explains that this beer was born from the phrase "Let's make stray cats zero." and that part of the sales goes to a donation to Mobile VET Office, which operates in Ebetsu. It is a label with a social context, with the funds used for cat medical support in areas with few animal hospitals and for surgery costs in hoarding-collapse cases involving many animals.

As for the flavor profile, it offers a clear gold-to-amber appearance, citrus notes from American hops, and piney nuances layered underneath. After the hop aroma comes a firm bitterness, while the sip remains clean and crisp, making it an easy beer to keep drinking without getting tired of it. The distinctive outline of a West Coast IPA comes through in an easy-to-appreciate finish.

The shop opens at 10:00 a.m., and supports both dine-in and takeout. With a location and business style that make it convenient for a first stop before an outing or a drink before meeting up, it is a place in Susukino, Sapporo where you can casually try craft beer from across Hokkaido. This restock is worth noting not only for its flavor, but also because drinking it supports a cause.
