BMB Brewery, based in Miyazaki City, will release its collaboration beer "GREEN RAY" with Baldys Good Beer on April 21 at 3:00 p.m. The style is Double India Pale Ale, with an alcohol content of 8.5%. In the announcement, it is positioned as an IPA with a firm bitterness that evokes early craft beer experiences.

At the core of this beer is the brewery's memory of that first pint it once experienced. In its post, the brewery explains that it used a recipe from that era and tried to recreate that excitement as faithfully as possible. Rather than chasing today's trends, it deliberately returns to an old-school IPA, in a striking approach that reexamines the original character of IPA.

BMB Brewery began brewing in Miyazaki City in 2018 and opened a new brewery in Kiyotake Town in 2024. With the concept "Beer from culture," it sends distinctive craft beer from Miyazaki. The city also has its taproom, "Beer Market BASE," making it easy for local drinkers to regularly experience the brewery's worldview.

"GREEN RAY" can be seen as a beer born from the overlap of the brewery's journey and its dialogue with an outside brewery. Through its pairing with Baldys Good Beer, it will be interesting to see how the memorable bitterness and grassy impression were shaped into something modern. This is a beer whose balance will be worth checking at the time of release.
