Kamihei Shuzo (Tono City, Iwate Prefecture) will hold a tasting and sales event on April 29, 2026, at the front of "Iwate no Sakaya KiKiZAKEYA" inside Morioka Station. The event will run from 9:30 a.m. until around 5:00 p.m. A post announced that visitors will be able to sample seasonal sake and craft beer, and that brewery staff will be available at the sales area.
The brewery produces both sake and craft beer in Tono, a region known for its rice and hops. On its official website, it promotes "From Tono - Sake & BEER -" and continues to make sake with an eye toward locally sourced ingredients. In craft beer, it operates the "Tono Beer / TONO BEER" and "KAMIHEI BREWING" brands, and it also offers a seasonal brewing line.
This tasting and sales event should provide a chance to experience the breadth of the brewery’s offerings all at once. Because it includes not only standard sake but also seasonal products and beer, it should be an easy entry point both for people who already drink Kamihei Shuzo’s products and for those trying the taste of Tono’s brewery for the first time.
Since the venue is inside the station, it is easy to stop by while in transit. It is worth noting as a day to sample, directly in Morioka, sake made from Tono’s rice and hops.
