New Openings on May 4
The lineup BEER NOVA announced for Monday, May 4 added two new beers: “Boosted Hazy IPA” from Mie’s Ise Kadoya Beer and “KEARASHI Aged ver.” from Brasserie Knot in Tsurui Village, Hokkaido. “Boosted Hazy IPA” is a hazy IPA evoking tropical fruit, while “KEARASHI Aged ver.” is an imperial stout made with oyster shells from Akkeshi, making these two beers very different in aroma and drinking profile.
Today’s Tap List
The beers available that day totaled 26 labels, including collaborations. The list includes Yellow Beer Works x U.B.P BREWERY’s “Yu-BP,” Nobody x Black Tide Brewing’s “Tidal Cycles,” Repubrew’s “WILD FUNKYARD CHERRY” and “GOLDEN SLUMBERS,” Hoppotan Brewing’s “Heartbeat” and “Umemigachi,” ALESONG’s “Cuvee Soleil,” “Single Origin,” and “Lack House Reserva,” COEDO’s “Mollika” and “Sake Beer,” and Onidensetsu x Beer House TONOTO’s “Shin Ashi Oni IPA.”

In the Style of an Urawa Beer Pub
BEER NOVA is a beer pub that connects local Urawa breweries with distinctive breweries from across Japan. In this post as well, the locally rooted U.B.P BREWERY and breweries from other regions appear on the same list, highlighting what makes the venue distinctive. For the first beer in the latter half of Golden Week, it may be fun to decide whether to start with a light IPA or finish with a stout.
