Four-company joint TAP TAKEOVER on April 11
At CRAFT BEER BAR IBREW Ebisu Ekimae, located underground in Tokyo's Ebisu-minami, a four-company joint TAP TAKEOVER will be held from around 3:00 p.m. on April 11. The participating breweries are Yamamorido, Swan Lake Beer, KaruizawaQ, and Heiwa Craft. In the post, the venue says it will tap 24 beers in total at once, with six varieties from each brewery, including the collaboration beer "Alt".
On the day, brewers including Mr. Obara, Mr. Izawa, Mr. Takagi, and Mr. Iezumi are scheduled to visit. Being able to toast while hearing behind-the-scenes stories about the beers is another highlight of the event. It should pair well with the IBREW-style sight of taps lined up across the bar, making for a night centered on tasting and comparing beers.
The post also previews a special collaboration beer project, Yatsugatake Touchedown x Taihu Brewing, planned for Sunday, April 19. That event is expected to feature more than 20 beers on tap, making April in Ebisu a month packed with craft beer news.
This tap takeover in front of Ebisu Station is a chance to taste the distinct character of multiple breweries all in one place. It should appeal both to fans who enjoy comparative tasting and to those following collaboration beers.
