CARVAAN Joins a Major Event at Yokota Air Base

CARVAAN BREWERY, located in Ogawara, Hanno City, Saitama Prefecture, will open a booth at the “Yokota Air Base Japan-U.S. Friendship Festival 2026,” held inside the U.S. Air Force’s Yokota Air Base in Fussa, Tokyo, on Saturday, May 16 and Sunday, May 17, 2026. The venue will be a special area extending into the runway area from Gate 5, open from 9:00 to 21:00, with last admission at 20:00.

In its official announcement, CARVAAN describes the event as a popular festival that draws as many as 100,000 visitors each year. In addition to demonstration flights by U.S. Air Force aircraft including the F-16, aircraft from the Japan Air Self-Defense Force and the Japan Ground Self-Defense Force will also take part, creating a scene that is rarely seen elsewhere.

The Highlight Is Popular Draft Beer

What beer fans will want to pay attention to is the popular draft beer served by CARVAAN. The lineup is designed so visitors can enjoy the fresh aroma unique to draft pours and the live feel of beer being served on site, which should pair well with the open, spacious atmosphere of a base event.

Also planned are spice nuts mixed by a master of spices and CARVAAN chef’s special pickles. Rather than stopping at beer alone, the appeal of this booth is that you can enjoy drinks alongside snacks with aroma and acidity.

A Hanno Brewpub Style Pairing of Food and Beer

CARVAAN BREWERY is a brewpub that values pairing food with beer rather than simply serving craft beer. The approach it has developed at its Hanno location, where beer-centered dining experiences are carefully built, is reflected in its event booth as well.

The Yokota Air Base Japan-U.S. Friendship Festival is the kind of event where you can spend a whole day leisurely, including food booths serving American-style dishes. With CARVAAN’s draft beer added to the mix, visitors can enjoy the atmosphere of flight demonstrations and the lively venue while drinking. If you are heading to Yokota Air Base on the weekend, it may be worth stopping by for a pint from Hanno.
