Saien Microbrewery with kitchen is a pub brewery in Saien, Morioka City, produced by Baeren Brewery. Born from the renovation of the former Cucina, the shop is equipped with brewing facilities inside and serves Saien craft beer that can only be enjoyed here.

The newly tapped 'Bakke Ale 2026' is one of the shop's standard seasonal beers that evokes the feeling of spring. "Bakke" means butterbur sprouts in the Tohoku dialect. Baeren's official blog has also introduced it as an attempt to use bakke, which can be seen even along roadsides when spring arrives, in beer, and it has been positioned as an ingredient that represents the coming of spring.

Saien Microbrewery is also presented by Baeren as a place to create beer that is "not bound by the beers Baeren has made until now, but is more challenging and ambitious." In the center of Morioka, its major appeal is being able to enjoy a drink that fits the season alongside a meal.

'Bakke Ale 2026' is also worth watching as a beer that carries on that spirit. As a beer that combines the character reminiscent of spring mountain vegetables with the freedom unique to a microbrewery, it lets you confirm the changing seasons in a glass.
