The organizing committee of Hokudai Marche Award 2026 has introduced Rikka as part of the second group of exhibitors announced on Instagram.
Rikka was a finalist in the Rural Area category of the 2021 Hokudai Marche Award. The latest announcement also features fellow past finalists Tane o Sodateru Kenkyujo and Nogaka no Yome Project.
The market will be held on Saturday, October 24, 2026, from 10:00 to 16:00, and Sunday, October 25, from 10:00 to 15:00. Visitors should check the organizer’s latest information for details on the venue and sales lineup.
Based in Nishi Ward, Sapporo, Rikka describes itself as a Hokkaido organic craft beer brand. Its name comes from “rikka,” an alternative Japanese name for snow, inspired by the flower-like beauty of hexagonal snow crystals. The brewery says the name reflects its wish for connections between people and communities to spread outward from craft beer, much like a crystal grows from its center.
Rikka also primarily sells its beer in kegs rather than bottles or cans. The approach is intended to reduce waste and place the beer within lively gatherings where people can connect and talk over a drink.
For beer lovers visiting Hokkaido during the event, Hokudai Marche Award 2026 will be a chance to discover Rikka not only through its beer, but also through the regional relationships and values behind the brand.
