Four Updated Taps in Umegaoka

The beer pub "Izakaya Beer Yoshioka (Italian Bar Yoshioka)" in Umegaoka, Setagaya Ward, Tokyo, announced its Now On Tap lineup in a May 17 post. The shop is a small Italian bar centered on natural wine and craft beer, located a three-minute walk from the south exit of Umegaoka Station.

The taps for the day featured the following four beers:

- Flash Hop IPA / WC IPA / Repubrew
- Pale Ale / Ise Kadoya Beer
- KIP / Hoppy Pilsner / Nara Brewing
- 6 Days Off / Session IPA / Kyoto Brewing

All of them are easy to pair with food, keeping the drinking experience on the lighter side. With an IPA, pale ale, hoppy pilsner, and session IPA, the lineup shifts the aroma and bitterness a little from one beer to the next, making it easy to choose based on your mood that day.

The star of the post was "Bocconcini and Mortadella." It appears on the restaurant menu as well, and it seems like a strong match as an appetizer to welcome your first beer. The interior clearly has the feel of a "small, authentic Italian place in the neighborhood," and one of its charms is that, with a tap update as the trigger, you can enjoy everything from light appetizers to pasta in one go.

Craft beer is served on a four-tap system, with selections made from the chalkboard tap list. It is the kind of place in Umegaoka that suits people who want to take their time with a drink alongside a meal.
