Chiitoko Shoten to tap Shiga Kogen Beer's Sono Juu on Aug. 27
Chiitoko Shoten in Shimoshuwa, Nagano, will open on Aug. 27 from 10:00 to 22:00. The shop is adding Shiga Kogen Beer’s Sono Juu as a new keg and will serve four draft beers in total, alongside dagashi, coffee, and a relaxed daytime-to-nighttime setting.
Chiitoko Shoten will be open on Aug. 27 from 10:00 to 22:00. In the post, the shop describes a lightly cool rainy day and invites people in for tea or beer. The only new keg is Shiga Kogen Beer's `Sono Juu`, an imperial IPA brewed to mark the brewery's 10th anniversary, with sake-rice-driven crispness, floral aroma, and firm bitterness.
Today's Beer
- `FRP` / French Pilsner / FERMENTRY (Kashihara, Nara)
- `Uncountable Pale Ale` / Pale Ale / GOOD HOPS (Tono, Iwate)
- `Sour Hazy IPA` / Sour Hazy IPA / CHORYO Craft Beer (Koriyama, Nara)
- `Sono Juu` / Imperial IPA / Shiga Kogen Beer (Yamanouchi, Nagano)
The lineup covers a clean French pilsner, a balanced pale ale, a tart hazy sour IPA, and a fuller imperial IPA, so it works both for a light first pint and for a slower tasting sequence. Starting easy and finishing with `Sono Juu` would make a tidy progression.
The shop's identity fits the taps well. With dagashi, beer, and coffee under one roof, Chiitoko Shoten is the kind of place where you can move between beer and coffee without changing pace. The post also lists sausage rolls, banana bread, chocolate banana bread, whole-wheat scones, chilled chocolate brownies, shortbread cookies, oat chocolate-chip cookies, ice cream, and a carrot spice tart, plus take-home handling notes, cash or PayPay prepayment, a nursing/diaper-changing room, and stroller access.
