Kamigata Beer will set up a booth at the “SUSTAINABLE CRAFT BEER FES” held at Totoya in Kyoto on Friday, March 20 (public holiday). Serving hours are 15:00 to 21:00. In the post, the brewery said it plans to bring a new mint-style beer, not yet available, along with several bottled beers.
The brewpub Kamigata Beer, based in Nishi-Awaji, Higashiyodogawa Ward, Osaka, announced that it will appear at an event in Kyoto on Friday, March 20 (public holiday). The venue is Totoya (Osawa Office Headquarters Building, 252 Izumicho, Kamigyo Ward, Kyoto City), and the event is called “SUSTAINABLE CRAFT BEER FES”. Serving hours are 15:00 to 21:00, giving attendees a solid window from evening into night.
According to the Instagram post, the brewery plans to bring a new beer described as “a refreshing minty one.” As of the time of the post, this beer was said to be “not yet connected at the taproom”, meaning there may be a chance to taste it ahead of release at the event. They also plan to bring several kinds of bottled beer, offering options beyond draft pours.
On the food side, the post also says they will bring grissini, introduced as something “everyone loves.” With its light saltiness and crisp texture, it should pair well with early-spring outdoor events and between tastings.
As a brewpub that keeps brewing and serving close together, Kamigata Beer continues to share its beers from its Osaka base (3-15-6 Nishi-Awaji, Higashiyodogawa Ward, Osaka City, Osaka Prefecture). This Kyoto appearance is worth noting as a chance to experience its beers outside Osaka.
If you are heading to the event, it looks like a good idea to arrive early, secure the new release first, and then set your pace with bottled beers and food in between.
