At Beer shop Llama in Mitaka, two new kegs have been connected.

The new taps this time are Ushitora's "Chyo, Latte Yo!" and Shiga Kogen Beer's "SNOW MONKEY IPA Silver Label ver." Both are beers with very distinct personalities, making for a lineup that is ideal for side-by-side tasting.

"Chyo, Latte Yo!" is a Coffee Amber Ale / ABV 4.0%. It uses eight kinds of malt, creating a beer built around coffee-like roasted aroma and caramel notes. By adding lactose and vanilla, it gains a gentle sweetness and a lingering finish. Although it has a dessert-like flavor, the style is still firmly an amber ale, resulting in a calm, easy-drinking finish.

On the other hand, "SNOW MONKEY IPA Silver Label ver." is a Hazy IPA / ABV 6.0%. This version has a different hop composition from the regular release, layering grapefruit-like citrus with tropical impressions reminiscent of lychee and white peach. It is refreshing, yet drinks relatively dry, and its lightness stands out even among hazy IPAs.

The current tap list is also wide-ranging in style. Smoothie Sour, German-Style Hefeweizen, West Coast Pilsner, Imperial Sour, IPA, NZ IPA, and Stout are all on tap, offering everything from sweet-tart beers to hoppy styles and dark beers. It is a lineup that works well both for people who want to settle in for a long session from their first stop in Mitaka and for those who want to compare several pours.
