At the beer pub BEER OLYN in Kagurazaka, Kyoto Brewing's TDH West Coast DIPA 'Orion' has been newly tapped. The current tap lineup, which ranges from Belgian Blonde and Light Lager to Hazy IPA, Kölsch, and cider, is summarized here.
At BEER OLYN on the third floor in Yarai-cho, Kagurazaka, Kyoto Brewing's 'Orion' TDH West Coast DIPA has been newly tapped. ABV is 8.0%. In the post, it is introduced as a beer crafted with Centennial, Chinook, Motueka, Waimea, Strata, Rakau, and other hops, with a focus on hop aroma compounds.
'Orion' is a West Coast DIPA that layers firm bitterness over hop-derived aromas reminiscent of citrus and pine resin. Its clear drinkability is supported by a body centered on Pilsner malt and a touch of Munich malt for added depth, making it a beer that IPA fans can take their time with. Designed as the series following the previous 'Arioon', it is aimed at bringing out the hops' individuality even more.
The current taps, in addition to Kyoto Brewing's 'Orion', include NOVORU's 'musubu' Belgian Blonde, VATTEN's 'OFF SIDE' Light Lager, Kanpai!'s 'Yureizaka Hazy IPA', Dieu Du Ciel!'s 'Sentinelle' Kölsch, Hetty Alice's 'Big Fog' DDH Hazy DIPA, and Tekikaka Cider's 'Tekikaka Cider Koutoku' Cidre. From IPA to lager, Belgian, Kölsch, and cider, the lineup spans styles and makes for cross-style comparison tasting.
BEER OLYN is an easy-to-use beer pub that keeps the kegs moving in Kagurazaka's calm neighborhood. The post says it is open on Tuesdays from 5 to 10 p.m., making it a good stop on the way home from work. In addition to new keg openings, Taiwanese culture talk events and bingo nights are also planned.
