Onomichi Brewery, a brewpub in Kubo, Onomichi, says it will put Mashiro Coffee Porter on tap tomorrow. The beer uses coffee beans specially roasted for this beer by "Kohi Mame Mashiro" on Mukaishima. According to the brewery, this batch was roasted a little deeper than before, so the coffee character should come through more clearly.

The brewery also serves the porter in a nitro style, pushing it with nitrogen gas rather than carbon dioxide. That means a finer foam, a creamier texture, and the cascade effect as the bubbles settle in the glass. The post even references Draft Guinness as a familiar example of this serving method.

At the same time, Setoda Lime IPA has been on tap since last week. For the first time, the recipe has been changed, so drinkers can see how the lime-driven IPA has evolved. It is a practical snapshot of what Onomichi Brewery does best: local collaboration, seasonal beer, and a taproom where the brewing story reaches the glass quickly.
