Two Guest-Tapped U.S. IPAs at Dolphin Industry in Kagoshima
The beer pub Dolphin Industry in the Tenmonkan area of Kagoshima City has brought in two contrasting American IPA kegs as guest beers. It is a lineup made for side-by-side tasting, with Revision Brewing's hazy IPA and Trademark Brewing's West Coast IPA available at the same time.
The beer pub Dolphin Industry in Higashisengoku-cho, Kagoshima, is introducing two IPA guest beers from U.S. breweries.
The key point this time is that, even though both are IPA, their characters are clearly different. The post describes them as "two kinds of American IPA, one hazy and one super clear," making it a lineup you can compare while noticing differences in aroma and bitterness.
The guest beers currently on offer are the following two.
- Pacific Static Hazy IPA (6.7%) / Revision Brewing (Nevada)
- Ocean Thunder IPA (7% / West Coast IPA) / Trademark Brewing (Long Beach, California)
If you are after the juicy character typical of a hazy IPA, or the crisp bitterness and sharp finish typical of a West Coast IPA, your choice for the first pint may go either way. Of course, half pours or back-to-back orders make this a fun pairing for comparison.
The shop was founded in 2007 and has been operating at its current location for 10 years, making it a deeply rooted local spot. It is located on the 3rd floor of Hamada Building, 14-15 Higashisengoku-cho, Kagoshima City, and is open from 18:00 to 24:00 on weekdays, and from 15:00 on Saturdays and Sundays. This is the kind of moment when you want to take your time and enjoy the character of the guest IPAs alongside a wagyu burger or loaded fries.
