Fuji Five Lakes fireworks and a brewery by Lake Yamanaka
The Fuji Five Lakes fireworks season is a five-day summer tradition that begins with the Yamanakako Hoko Festival on August 1 and continues through Saiko, Motosuko, Shojiko, and finally the Kawaguchiko Kojo Festival on August 5. Each lake has its own atmosphere, with Mt. Fuji silhouettes and reflections on the water creating a distinctly Fuji Five Lakes scene.
CinCin Yamanakako Brewery is a craft brewery in Yamanakako Village, Yamanashi. Its official site describes it as a brewery at 1,001 meters above sea level and the closest craft brewery to Mt. Fuji in the Yamanakako area. The brewery also emphasizes beer made with natural spring water flowing from beneath Mt. Fuji. Beer is brewed on the first floor and served fresh in the taproom upstairs.
In the Instagram post, the brewery framed the event as a five-night summer tradition and suggested its beer as a companion for fireworks viewing. The message is not just about the event itself, but about how to spend the evening around Lake Yamanaka.
The lineup includes Hazy IPA (Dry Hazy), Yamanakako Forest, and Fuji Bitter Ale. Stopping by before or after the fireworks and enjoying a pint brewed with Fuji foothills water is a natural fit for the season.
