At Kobe Minato Beer on Mizukidori in Hyogo Ward, Kobe City, the regular event "Jibia-Gibier," which pairs game with beer, is celebrating its 7th anniversary. According to an official post, the event will be held on Sunday, April 19, from 1:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m., with Kobe Minato Beer itself as the venue. Centered on domestically sourced wild boar and deer, the menu will be finished as charcoal-grilled barbecue, offered at special prices and available until sold out.

The main attractions will be wild boar, featuring rich fatty cuts, and deer meat, known for its strong umami. Grilling them over charcoal brings out their aroma and the deep richness unique to game. To accompany them are the shop's craft beers. The post also emphasizes the compatibility of "game x beer," making this an event designed specifically for enjoying meat dishes with beer.

Kobe Minato Beer is a brewpub located about a one-minute walk from Shinkaichi Station. The interior is compact, and three house draft beers are always on tap. On its official website, the shop says it brews beers that make use of local ingredients, beers rich in malt flavor and bitterness, and fruity beers with aromatic hops, giving it the broad range needed to stand up to the fat and aroma of game meat.

The atmosphere of Shinkaichi itself is part of the shop's appeal. In a space small enough to drop into casually, you can sip draft beer while snacking on meat. More than flashy, it promises to be a day when beer lovers can fully savor the pairing of handcrafted beer and food.
