A brewery rooted in Nagano’s landscape

Based in Ojojiki, Nagano City, Nagano Brewery combines brewing with farming. The brewery aims to create beers that express the character of its local soil and surroundings, drawing on agricultural land that has been maintained by the founder’s family for generations.

Its circular approach includes using hops and fruit grown on its own farm in brewing, while reusing spent malt as fertilizer. The brewery’s official lineup includes pale ale, pilsner, IPA, and stout, with seasonal beers using locally grown crops also planned.

A chance to taste Nagano in Niigata

The Mitsuke festival will give local visitors an opportunity to discover beers from Nagano’s Ojojiki area and meet producers from across the region. For beer lovers, it is also a chance to compare different brewing styles while enjoying the atmosphere of a free-entry weekend event.

Those visiting the venue can look for Nagano Brewery’s booth and raise a glass to the meeting of Nagano and Mitsuke.
