A citrus-forward summer ale arrives

In a July 17 post, CRAFT BEER MARKET Kichijoji Pennylane announced a new tap: Shonan Beer Summer Orange Ale. The beer is part of Kumazawa Brewing’s Shonan Beer lineup and is presented as a summer fruit ale built on a golden ale base with orange aroma and flavor. The profile points clearly toward a refreshing, easy-drinking pint for hot weather.

The venue itself is a beer pub centered on the pairing of craft beer and gyoza. It offers 30 rotating beers on a daily basis, plus more than six kinds of house-made gyoza for tasting side by side. The menu also includes beer-friendly snacks and four kinds of spice curry, so it works well as both a drinking spot and a meal stop.

Opening hours are straightforward: weekdays run from 12:00 to 14:00 for lunch and 17:00 to 23:00 for dinner, while weekends and holidays are open from 11:00 to 23:00. With reservations available and takeout supported, it is an easy stop in Kichijoji for anyone looking to pair a citrusy summer ale with food.
