Golden Week business information

The brewpub "Mamemame Beer" in Sakate, Shodoshima, has shared the business information for its two directly operated locations from April 29 through May 6. According to the announcement, the tap lineup is scheduled to be updated on April 30, with 5 taps at the brewery, 9 taps at the dining hall, for a total of 14 taps.

The standout items in this Golden Week lineup are a super-orange collaboration beer, a new release with KBL, and Pilsner Urquell, which will join as a guest beer. All 14 offerings are different, making it easy for both people who want to slowly enjoy the regular lineup and those chasing limited releases to find something to enjoy.

Beers on tap

- At Mamemame Beer Brewery, the tap lineup centers on small-batch regular beers that can be enjoyed at a relaxed pace.
- At Mamemame Beer Dining Hall, the wide lineup, including limited items, makes it easy to pair beer with a meal.
- From April 30 onward, the posted information is scheduled to be updated, so checking before visiting during Golden Week seems essential.

How to use the two locations

Mamemame Beer Brewery is a small brewpub on the hills of Sakate. Its strength is that you can drink its small-batch beers, brewed with local Shodoshima ingredients, right there on site. In contrast, the dining hall is located inside neiw at the former Sakate Port terminal, making it easy to stop by before boarding. It is better suited for people who want to sample a variety of limited beers or drink alongside a meal.

The post also says there will be pop-up shops in the neighboring shared kitchen and live performances during Golden Week. Since crowding is expected in the second half of the holiday, especially before afternoon and evening departures, visitors are encouraged to allow plenty of time. The intention of the post is clear: the easiest way to enjoy this period is to visit both locations and compare the 14 beers.

Both locations will be closed on May 7 and 8 after Golden Week. Regular business will resume after that, but events and pop-ups will continue, so anyone planning to drink on the island should check the business information in advance.
