The beer pub `umbrella`, located underground in Sonezaki, Kita Ward, Osaka, announced that it will open on Thursday, April 30 at 6:00 p.m. Near Ohatsu Tenjin, it is positioned as an easy stop on the way home from work, and will offer a proper selection of rotating draft beers.

The draft beers of the day listed in that day's post are the following five:

- Dank Hop IPA / Kakegawa Farm Brewing (Shizuoka) - West Coast IPA
- Study in Rouge / Nara Brewing (Nara) - Fruit Sour Ale w/ Vanilla
- Saruyama Shikao / Minoh Beer (Osaka) - Japanese Rice Brut
- Draught Guinness / Guinness - Draught Guinness
- Kirin Lager / Kirin Brewery (JP) - Lager

Looking at the lineup, the range of flavors is quite broad, from a hop-forward West Coast IPA to a fruit sour with vanilla, a rice-based brut, the classic draught Guinness, and a lager. If you want to compare them, it sounds like a good flow would be to start with the IPA and sour styles to check the differences in character, then settle in with Guinness or lager.

For food, shrimp and chives is also being promoted, described as a dish finished with dashi salt, garlic, ginger, and lemon. It seems like a good match with the beers on tap, with aroma and saltiness that should pair well as a snack between drinks.

Also available are beer tickets that can be used for `six minimum-size servings of craft beer`. At Underground Umbrella, Guinness pints can also be used, and the price is 5,800 yen, valid until six months after purchase, while supplies last.

As for upcoming plans, the venue also announced a closing day on Wednesday, May 6, Underground Bar umbrella 15th Party on Saturday, May 9 and Sunday, May 10, and another closing day on Monday, May 11. It sounds like a day to keep an eye on both the standard Guinness and domestic craft beers, along with the activities around the anniversary period.
