Kochi-based craft beer brand SOUTH HORIZON BREWING has announced a limited collaboration with Kagura Suzu. The brewery’s American Pale Ale “Nap on Deck” will feature an original illustration label and be sold as a six-can set with an exclusive diatomite coaster.

SOUTH HORIZON BREWING, a craft beer brand based in Kochi City, Kochi Prefecture, has announced a special collaboration beer with Kagura Suzu. The release uses “Nap on Deck,” the brewery’s signature American Pale Ale, as its base.
For this limited edition, an original illustration drawn specifically for the collaboration appears on the 350ml can labels. Kagura Suzu is depicted against a clear blue sky and transparent sea, creating a refreshing visual that matches the beer’s concept: a peaceful nap on a ship’s deck. The packaging is designed to be enjoyed even after the beer has been finished, making it suitable for display as well as drinking.
A citrusy and tropical American Pale Ale
“Nap on Deck” combines Citra and Idaho 7 hops, offering aromas reminiscent of citrus and tropical fruit. Its bright hop character is balanced by a moderate malt body, resulting in a light and approachable American Pale Ale. The beer has an ABV of 5.5% and an IBU of 35, with malt, hops, and white koji listed among its ingredients.
The set also includes a diatomite coaster featuring the original illustration. Each package contains six 350ml cans with Kagura Suzu labels and one coaster, priced at ¥6,400 including tax. Fans can enjoy the beer, display the cans together, and continue using the coaster as a keepsake after the drinks are gone.
SOUTH HORIZON BREWING operates in Kochi’s port city and names many of its beers after nautical terms and imagery. Its packaging reflects the changing colors of the horizon seen across Tosa Bay. The brewery also runs a beer restaurant and bottle shop, where its beers are served alongside food made with local Kochi ingredients.
Reservations are open from November 3, 2026, at 7:00 p.m. through November 23, 2026, at 11:59 p.m. Orders are scheduled to ship sequentially from mid-December 2026. Alcohol may only be consumed by adults of legal drinking age.
