BATHE YOTSUME BREWERY's Two Flagship Beers Win Bronze
BATHE YOTSUME BREWERY, located in Narihira, Sumida Ward, Tokyo, announced that it had received awards at the Japan Great Beer Awards. The two beers that won bronze this time were BATHE's signature Weizen, "FOREST", and the IPA "FIVE", brewed to commemorate the fifth anniversary of Golden-yu's renovation. Both are well known as representative beers of the brewery.
According to the official website, BATHE YOTSUME BREWERY began with the idea of "wanting to make, with our own hands, the beer people can enjoy after a bath." In addition to developing and brewing craft beer on the premises, the brewery also features a beer bar and DJ booth at the back of the shop, creating a space where beer and music can be enjoyed together.
The award-winning "FOREST" is the brewery's standard Weizen and can be considered the face of the brand. It is a style that makes the soft texture derived from wheat malt and the yeast-driven aroma shine, making it an easy match for a drink before a meal or a light post-bath beer. By contrast, "FIVE" was brewed as a commemorative IPA, and is a beer for those who want to enjoy a strong hop presence.
Being able to compare an award-winning regular beer and a commemorative beer at the brewery in Narihira is appealing. At this place, which is conscious of the intersection between sento culture and craft beer, visitors can enjoy not only the quality of the beer itself but also the experiential value of the space. With this award, it is a brewery that makes you want to visit again.
