ALE HOUSE Kamiya, a beer pub in Osaka’s Doyama district, has newly tapped Sanriku Hirota Bay Oyster Stout from Iwate Kura Beer.

The stout is brewed with both the shells and meat of oysters harvested in Hirota Bay, Sanriku, Iwate. It is a revival and recreation of the traditional Irish oyster stout style. According to the brewery’s description, the shells help support fermentation, while the oyster meat adds depth to the dark beer.

The beer offers the richness expected from a stout, but finishes cleanly rather than heavily. Its appeal lies in the balance between roasted malt character, depth, and a refreshing finish, allowing drinkers to enjoy it with food as well as on its own. The stout should be a fitting choice for the cooler early-autumn season.

ALE HOUSE Kamiya is located in the basement of the K1 Building in Doyama, Osaka. The beer pub serves a broad selection including craft beer, real ale, and imported beers, alongside popular dishes such as Kamiya-style fried chicken and game meat cuisine. The new oyster stout can be enjoyed in a relaxed pub setting with a meal or as part of a wider tasting session.

The pub updates its current beer lineup through its official social media stories. Guests should contact the venue in advance to confirm availability and make reservations.
