A new collaboration beer arrives

Mash Cafe & Bed NAGANO has begun serving its new original beer, MONOBEER_06 “Ringo wa Tomodachi -FUJI APPLE SOUR ALE-.” The release marks a collaboration with the kitchen car Niku wa Tomodachi, with brewing handled by Nobara Homestead Brewery in Aoki Village and DO BREWING in Ueda.

A sour ale built around Fuji apples

The beer is a sour ale with an ABV of 5.5%. It uses plenty of Fuji apples from Iizuna Town and is described as slightly hazy, with gentle carbonation and restrained bitterness. The balance of apple sweetness and acidity is the focus, making it an easygoing beer suited to the early-summer season.

Niku wa Tomodachi is known for dishes such as wagyu skewers, hamburgers, and beef tendon made with Shinshu beef. The kitchen car is run by an apple farmer and a dairy farmer from Iizuna Town, which gives the beer project a clear local connection.

Why it fits Mash

Mash Cafe & Bed NAGANO is a beer pub on the first floor of a guesthouse near Nagano Station. With bar counter seating, tables, and sofas, it has the relaxed feel of a place where travelers and locals can naturally mix. The venue also serves craft beer, natural wine, and wood-fired pizza, making it a fitting setting for a beer built around local ingredients.

The new release is available first at the Nagano location, with plans to appear later at the Kamakura store and on the MONOBEER TRUCK as well. For drinkers looking for a locally rooted original beer in Nagano, this is a notable one to watch.
