The shop will offer a total of 15 taps, combining original house-brewed beers with carefully selected guest beers. True to its beer-pub style, with an emphasis on beer-and-food pairings, it's a lineup you can enjoy slowly with a meal.
The original beers for the day span a wide range, from standards to new releases. The lineup includes leaf, a Saison with Sage & Lemongrass; BLONDE, a Blonde Ale; the new PALE ALE; LAVENDER & CHAMOMILE, with Lavender & Chamomile; the new Wu-Xiang Red Ale; Ikeda Mikan Wit; Belgian IPA; English IPA; Red Ale; and Winter White. The appeal is being able to compare, one glass at a time, the different expressions of herbs, citrus, spices, and hops.
The guest taps are not to be missed either. On tap are Yokohama Bay Brewing's Bay Pilsner, Chuckanut Brewery's Vienna Lager, Isekadoya Beer's Hattrick and Brain-Melting Ultra Heaven 3xIPA, and Totopia Brewery's Biasphobia. From the crispness of lagers to the density of hazy beers and even a West Coast TIPA, the range is firmly on display.
CRAFT BEER BASE leaf is a beer pub serving 15 draft beers, with a shop attached that also carries domestic and imported bottles and cans. The interior, with counter and table seating, works just as well for dropping in alone as it does for tasting side by side with a group. Hours are 11:00 to 23:00, with food served until 22:00 and drinks available until 22:00 as well. It's an easy stop for anyone around Osaka Station looking for the day's pint.
