Starting at 5:00 p.m. on April 5, a tap takeover of Yatsugatake Beer TOUCHDOWN kicked off at Craft Beer Server Land Akasaka-Mitsuke. At the beer pub in Akasaka 3-chome, a diverse lineup including collaboration beers was on display.
At Craft Beer Server Land Akasaka-Mitsuke, which opened at 5:00 p.m. on Sunday, April 5, a Tap Take Over centered on Yatsugatake Beer TOUCHDOWN was held. The shop is a beer pub in Akasaka 3-chome, Tokyo, located in the basement of the Akasaka Getsusekai Building, and is the kind of city-center spot that's easy to drop into after work.
In the caption of the Instagram post, the venue thanked the visitors who came to the TTO and also expressed gratitude to Yatsugatake Brewery, the brewery behind it. The poster read "3-Company Collaboration Tap Take Over," and at the venue the lineup included the collaboration beer Roggen Roll / Rye Helles, along with beers that showed the distinctive character of the Touchdown lineup.
The lineup on display ranged widely from Pilsner, Lager, Weizen, Dunkel, Japanese Pilsner, Smoked Helles, and India Pale Lager to Cold IPA, making it possible to enjoy a full range of flavors from lagers and Helles styles to wheat, dark, and IPA-style beers. The collaboration beer was Rye Helles, a beer that looked like it would let you enjoy both a rich malt presence and a light drinking finish.
One of the highlights of the day was being able to compare multiple styles in the calm underground space in Akasaka-Mitsuke. As befits a tap takeover, the event brought to the forefront the fun of working through beers one by one, each with a different personality.
