The beer pub "PUB Karr," located on the second floor of the Anraku Building on Horikawa Street in Kyoto's Nakagyo Ward, west of Rokku, has released its tap list for April 13. Set in the heart of Kyoto, it is a place you can casually drop into, and part of the appeal is following the day-to-day changes in the draft lineup.

Today's new arrival is Minoh Beer’s Black Session IPA. It is worth noting as a beer that keeps the drinkability typical of a session IPA while also letting you enjoy the roasty character and hop expression unique to a black IPA. Because it is not too heavy and makes it easy to balance aroma and mouthfeel, it is well suited to being your first drink.

On tap are Kyoto Brewing’s "Worion", Minoh Beer’s "Honey Saison", Kyoto Brewing’s "Tsubutsumu", Kyoto Brewing’s "Six Days Off", and Asahi Beer’s "Maruef". Kyoto Brewing offers three beers with distinct personalities, Minoh Beer adds a seasonal touch with the saison-style "Honey Saison," and the lineup rounds out with "Maruef" for a calm, settled drink at the end.

PUB Karr’s appeal lies in being the kind of beer pub where you can enjoy the changing taps as they are. For anyone in central Kyoto who wants to move back and forth between craft and classics according to their mood that day, this is worth checking out.
