Baird Brewery Garden Shuzenji is Baird Beer’s base in Izu City, Shizuoka Prefecture. As a farm-style brewery on the banks of the Kano River, it is a place where you can enjoy both beer making and the atmosphere of the land.

This 12th anniversary festival will be held over two days, Saturday, May 23 and Sunday, May 24, 2026. At the venue, events focused on craftsmanship will unfold in line with this year’s theme, "CRAFTMANSHIP - Back to the Origin and Toward the Future." Admission is free. Hours are 11:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. on the 23rd and 11:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. on the 24th. A free shuttle bus will also run from Shuzenji Station.

Highlights

- 40 varieties of Baird Beer will be available
- Limited-edition beer "Himonora Lager" will be sold
- Traditional craft workshops from Izu and craft vendors will appear
- Brewery tour and ume plum harvest experience will be offered
- A rock-paper-scissors tournament with "Himonora" is also planned

The food selection is also substantial. The venue will bring together menus that pair well with beer, including casual French dishes, Italian prepared foods, grilled ayu sweetfish, and BBQ spare ribs. With a diverse lineup that includes first-time vendors, there is plenty to enjoy beyond drinking alone.

Baird Beer is a brewery known for expressing distinct character through both its core and seasonal limited beers. The anniversary festival held in the natural setting of Shuzenji is also an opportunity to experience that brewing philosophy firsthand. If you are heading toward Izu for the weekend, this is an event worth noting for the chance to enjoy beer, food, and craft all at once.
