At Beer Pub Ishii, four beers to pair with young ginger are on tap, and four more are waiting
Beer Pub Ishii in Sendagi and along Yomise-dori shared its latest tap lineup in a May 28 post. On tap are four beers from Oni Densetsu Beer, Kanpai! Brewing, Shiga Kogen Beer, and Let’s Beer Works, while four more, including Hansharo Beer, are waiting to be tapped. It’s a lineup you’ll want to enjoy alongside the young ginger season.
Beer Pub Ishii in Sendagi shared its latest tap information on Instagram. The bar sits on Yomise-dori at the border between Yanaka and Sendagi in Tokyo, and its appeal is a lineup centered on craft beer from around Japan, along with everything from bar snacks to full meals. The first floor has a casual, drop-in feel, while the second floor lets you settle in and drink at a relaxed pace, making it a versatile spot for anything from a quick drink to a full meal.
In that day’s post, the following four beers were introduced as currently on tap.
- Oni Densetsu Beer: Kinki Pale Ale
- Kanpai! Brewing: Naemazaka-Blueberry Sour
- Shiga Kogen Beer: India Pale Ale
- Let’s Beer Works: 1759 Ichinana-Gokyu
Together, they make for a distinctive lineup, with pale ales and IPAs for side-by-side tasting, plus a tart blueberry sour in the mix. Paired with the seasonal feel of young ginger, it’s an easy lineup to choose from depending on your mood, from light, crisp beers to more full-flavored ones.
The post also announced the next four beers waiting to be tapped.
- Hansharo Beer: New World Kölsch
- North Island: Weizen
- Shiga Kogen Beer: Pale Ale
- Hoppukotan Brewing: Ikina Haka RYE
This set also spans a wide range, from Kölsch, Weizen, and Pale Ale to rye, so the taps should stay nicely balanced after the next rotation. The post also noted that the shop will be temporarily closed from Friday, June 5 through Tuesday, June 9, 2026. If you’re planning a visit, it’s probably best to check the business days and tap update timing together.
A spot worth stopping by during a stroll through the Yanesen area when you want to slowly enjoy Japanese craft beer. Right now, the first lineup to check is the Kinki Pale Ale, India Pale Ale, and Blueberry Sour.
