THE BLISS Brewery releases its first canned beer, Fair Wind
THE BLISS Brewery & Dining in Yokohama Minatomirai has launched Fair Wind, the brewery’s first canned beer. Rather than canning an existing beer, it was developed from scratch for cans.
THE BLISS BREWERY & DINING, a brewpub restaurant in Yokohama Minatomirai, began selling Fair Wind, the first canned beer from THE BLISS BREWERY, on August 1, 2026.
Located at 1F, Notre Dame Yokohama Minatomirai, 6-101 Kitanakadori, Naka-ku, Yokohama, the restaurant has been known for serving house-brewed craft beer on site. Fair Wind is not a canned version of an existing draft beer. Instead, it was brewed from a new recipe created specifically so the brewery’s character would come through in canned form.
The beer is a Golden Ale. According to the release, it highlights the fresh aroma of New Zealand hops, with notes reminiscent of lime and subtle tropical fruit, and it finishes with a clean, easygoing drinkability. It is 5.0% ABV and comes in 350 ml cans.
The name Fair Wind refers to a favorable wind or a good wind for sailing. The brewery says the name reflects a wish for the beer to become a tailwind for new challenges and a drink that accompanies milestones and time spent with people who matter.
THE BLISS BREWERY & DINING opened in 2024 as a brewpub operated by a wedding venue group. With this release, the brewery extends its house-made beer beyond the restaurant and into a format that can be taken home and enjoyed more widely.
Fair Wind is available at THE BLISS BREWERY & DINING, Yumigahama no Oka Hotel, Hofu Grand Hotel, selected Ai Group restaurants for in-house service, and the official Ai Group e-commerce site FUREAI.
