The beer pub Beer House Hobbit in Kawaramachi, Hirakata, Osaka, posted on May 27 to introduce its seasonal food offerings and draft beer lineup. The shop is using tomatoes grown by nearby farmers, which it says it sources every year, and is also offering a comparison tasting of regular tomatoes and mini tomatoes. The menu includes dishes that pair well with beer, such as water eggplant, asparagus, rice balls made with clay-pot-cooked mixed rice, sauteed domestic beef round, and Taiwanese-style fried chicken.

There were six draft beers on tap that day. The lineup included Yatsugatake Brewery's "Shirakaba Beat" from Yamanashi, Koku no Chou Beer "Kijo Gold" from Osaka, Choryo Sake Brewery's "Wakyo - Sake Lees Yuzu White" from Nara, Naminooto Brewing's "Circle" from Hyogo, Hansharo Beer "Full Bloom DIPA" from Shizuoka, and the local Hirakata Beer "Session Citra White" from Osaka. With a broad range spanning white ales featuring Japanese citrus and sake lees to a DIPA, the lineup conveyed the fun of tasting side by side.

Beer House Hobbit is known as a place in the Hirakata City Station area where people can enjoy craft beer and food together. This post also centered beer as the main attraction while covering both drinking and eating, with everything from seasonal vegetables to hearty meat dishes.

In addition, on Friday, May 29 and Saturday, May 30, the shop plans to serve "My Curry," presented by staff member Uno. This time it will be a seafood curry, built on a broth of bonito and kelp also used in the clay-pot mixed rice, and combined with squid, shrimp, and clams. It was the kind of post that makes you want to stop by on a day when you want to enjoy the individuality of the draft beers and the seasonal menu at the same time.
