The beer is a slightly hoppy amber ale. While built around a malt character that evokes classic American amber ales, the body has been finished dry, and dry hopping uses New Zealand hop Riwaka. The result is said to be a modern flavor with a gentle citrus and citrus-fruit character. At 5% ABV, it is intended as an easy-to-drink pint that won’t tire the drinker out.
The post explains that the goal was to create a beer that would be enjoyed not only on a special "hare" day like an anniversary, but also after the festivities as an everyday "ke" beer. Novel Craft Brewing is also known for music-inspired naming, and Full Up follows that lineage. As a beer pub that has watched craft beer evolve in Kichijoji, the beer’s design stands out for prioritizing an approachable daily pint over flashiness.
