Nomendo Brew Stand collaborates with barista Yuto Sasaki on coffee weizen ENIGMA BLOOM
Nomendo Brew Stand in Koshigaya has launched a new series called "NOMENDO customer's product." The first beer is "ENIGMA BLOOM," a coffee weizen made with barista Yuto Sasaki and set to pour from the next day at opening.
Nomendo Brew Stand is a craft-beer specialty bar in Koshigaya, Saitama. On its official site, the brewery says it obtained its brewing license in January 2024 and became Koshigaya City's first brewery.
In an Instagram post, Nomendo introduced a new project called "NOMENDO customer's product," a series built around collaborating with customers by drawing on their specialties. The first release was created with barista Yuto Sasaki and uses specialty coffee.
The beer is called "ENIGMA BLOOM." Nomendo says the name combines "Enigma," a high-grade coffee bean made through a special fermentation process, with the idea of something enigmatic, aiming for a drink where coffee and hop aromas bloom in the glass. The coffee used in the beer is Castillo, and the recipe was built around the Weizen style as a COFFEE WEIZEN at 5% ABV. A small bottled batch was also prepared, alongside tap service.
For a local brewery in Koshigaya, the release shows how its taproom can also function as a place for cross-disciplinary collaboration.
