On August 13, The Beer Shop Hirakata City in Hirakata, Osaka, added four beers from the UK’s Bluntrock Brewery. The post described it as a first-time arrival for the brewery, and the shop opened at 5:00 p.m. on the day because of special circumstances. It is an easy stop for an Obon-season beer run.

New arrivals

- Kanpai: a Japanese rice lager with a crisp, clean finish.
- Moon Juice: a hazy IPA with notes of passion fruit, pineapple, and peach pulp.
- Droopy Drawers: a hazy pale ale with pine-like depth plus hints of passion fruit and strawberry.
- Pagan Juice: a hazy pale ale with ripe peach, pineapple, and a subtle resin note.

Draft lineup

The day’s taps also included Sapporo Brewery’s Kurolabel, Baird Brewing’s Teikoku IPA, Verhaeghe’s Duchesse de Bourgogne, Craftbank Brewery’s 04-Kolsh, and Hirakata Beer’s Session Citra White. The shop notes that Sapporo Black Label is opened fresh every day, keeping it in good condition.

Located on the third floor of Hirakata San Plaza No. 3, the beer pub is close to the station and works well for comparing a new overseas import with familiar draft staples in one visit.
