BRIGHT BLUE BREWING, a brewpub in Fujiyoshida, Yamanashi, shared an update from an early-morning hop harvest. In the post, the brewery says the aroma of fresh hops is a rare seasonal experience that can only be enjoyed now, and notes that visitors can experience freshly harvested hops at the taproom. It is a good snapshot of how this brewery ties local ingredients and seasonal work directly to what ends up in the glass.

The day’s ON TAP list includes five beers: Pilsner, Mango Sour Ale, Pink Boots IPA, Jalapeno Saison, and Spice Ale. The bottle list also features Ichi-Go-Megu Pilsner, Spice Ale, and Mango Sour Ale. In other words, the lineup covers a broad range of styles, from a clean pilsner to fruit-driven sour beer and hop-forward seasonals.

BRIGHT BLUE BREWING is located in Fujiyoshida, at the foot of Mount Fuji, and operates as an on-site brewpub. Because the brewery builds its beers around regional ingredients and the changing seasons, visiting during hop harvest time gives the tap list extra context. It is a place where the setting, the harvest, and the beer all feel connected.
